Product overview

An online UPS to protect a server or sensitive equipment: online double conversion, 1000 VA / 900 W.
Technology & protection: power is fully and continuously regenerated — your devices are never connected directly to the mains, with no transfer time whatsoever. Complete protection against outages, surges, voltage fluctuations and electrical noise.
Power: 1000 VA for 900 W of real power — its excellent power factor puts almost all of the rated power to work in watts.
Outlets: 8 C13 outlets (computer and server power cords).
LCD display: shows load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — so you can monitor the UPS without any software.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Aster 1K run on battery?
10 minutes at half load, i.e. 450 W. The runtime depends directly on what you plug in: the lighter the load, the longer it lasts — which is why you should not aim for the unit's limit.
What voltage range does the Aster 1K accept?
From 80 to 300 V, at a frequency of 40 to 70 Hz: an exceptionally wide range. Where an ordinary UPS would switch to battery, this one keeps running on mains power.
How much load can the Aster 1K handle?
900 W, for a rated 1000 VA: its output power factor of 0.9 makes almost all of the apparent power available, whereas a desktop UPS loses nearly half of it.
Is the output waveform of the Aster 1K a pure sine wave?
Yes, a pure sine wave, with distortion below 5% even on a non-linear load and voltage held within ±1% on battery. Switching is instantaneous: double conversion never cuts out.
What happens if the Aster 1K is overloaded?
It does not shut down straight away: between 105 and 110%, it only raises an alarm; between 110 and 120%, it switches to bypass after 60 seconds; above 120%, it switches to bypass immediately.
How do you monitor the Aster 1K?
Through an HID USB port, an RS-232 serial port, an SNMP port for network monitoring and an EPO emergency power-off input. The monitoring and automatic shutdown software can be downloaded free of charge.
Can the Aster 1K stay in an office?
Yes: it stays below 45 dB, which is low for a double-conversion unit. A convertible chassis 88 mm high, 438 wide and 430 deep, weighing 13.7 kg: rack or floor-standing, as you prefer.
Does the Aster 1K work with a generator?
Yes, it is rated generator-compatible: its input range of 80 to 300 V and 40 to 70 Hz absorbs the fluctuations of a standalone power source, which not every UPS can handle.
Can the batteries of the Aster 1K be replaced?
Yes, the unit is designed for easy replacement of its three GP07122L modules, and an external battery pack is available as an option to extend the runtime.
Is the nJoy Aster 1K UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 3 years. Its colour LCD screen shows load, battery, voltages and remaining time; efficiency reaches 97% in ECO mode. The datasheet covers the rest.
