380 W shared across the 48 ports, all 10/100/1000BASE-T, each PoE+ compliant up to 30 W. Around thirty cameras at 12 W already use up most of it: it is the budget, not the number of sockets, that determines the size of the project.
How much power does this switch draw, excluding the power it supplies to devices?
49.44 W in typical use, with the rest of the power going to the cameras and access points it powers. The 1U rack-mountable metal casing features intelligent heat dissipation and surge protection.
What are the 4 SFP+ ports on this model for?
They are the 10 Gbps uplinks to the network core: 48 access ports do not bottleneck on a single Gigabit output. Optical modules are chosen according to the distance and the type of fibre.
