Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the GS1900-24E be configured?
Yes: it is a Layer 2 managed switch, controlled from a web interface, with SNMP monitoring and IPv6 support. You can set up VLANs and monitor the ports without a command line.
Does this switch power devices over PoE?
No: the GS1900-24E has no PoE ports. Each connected camera or access point must have its own power supply, or an injector placed on the link.
How much power does this 24-port switch draw?
15.6 W for twenty-four Gigabit sockets: that is low, helped by the absence of PoE and active cooling. The unit measures 267 × 162 × 42 mm, weighs 2.05 kg and can be rack-mounted.
What speed do this switch's ports offer?
1 Gbps per port, across all twenty-four sockets. It is a classic access switch: each workstation, printer or access point gets its own Gigabit link, with no fibre slot for the uplink.
Can this switch be mounted in a 19-inch rack?
Yes, it is specified as rack-mountable. At 26.7 cm wide and 16 cm deep, it takes up only part of the width of a standard rack and sits just as well on a shelf.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
