VLANs, quality of service and SNMP monitoring, from a Layer 2 web interface. An eight-port switch can thus separate office traffic, telephony and guest Wi-Fi on the same cabling.
Does this switch power devices over PoE?
No, none of its eight ports supplies power. It is the non-PoE version of the GS1900 series; cameras and Wi-Fi access points will need their own power adapter or a PoE injector.
How much power does this switch add?
5 W for eight managed Gigabit ports. It can stay on continuously without weighing on the electricity bill or on the runtime of a UPS shared with other equipment.
Can the GS1900-8 V2 be rack-mounted?
Yes, rack mounting is supported. The unit measures 250 × 104 × 27 mm and weighs 650 g: it does not take up the full width of a 19-inch rack, but it mounts in one and also fits in a wall cabinet.
Is this switch ready for IPv6?
Yes, it is IPv6 compatible. It can be managed and monitored on an IPv6 addressing scheme just as well as on IPv4: migrating the network does not mean it has to be replaced.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
