Frequently asked questions about this product

How many ports on the Zyxel GS1900-24EP provide PoE+ power?
Twelve of the twenty-four ports, in PoE+ 802.3at up to 30 W each, within a 130 W total. The other twelve remain standard Gigabit ports, for devices that already have their own power.
Can PoE power be switched off at certain times?
Yes, PoE scheduling makes this possible. Turning off Wi-Fi access points at night or at weekends reduces power consumption and limits the wireless network's exposure outside working hours.
What can be configured on this switch?
VLANs, quality of service, IGMP snooping, LACP aggregation and STP and RSTP spanning tree, from a web interface with a step-by-step configuration wizard — useful for initial commissioning.
Is this switch noisy in a rack?
It has a variable-speed fan, from 19 to 40 dBA depending on the load. At low PoE load it therefore stays very quiet; it is at full power delivery that it becomes audible.
What performance does this switch offer?
48 Gbps of switching capacity and 35.7 Mpps, with an 8,000-entry MAC address table and jumbo frames up to 9 KB. Energy Efficient Ethernet reduces the power consumption of idle ports.
How much rack space does this switch take up?
330 × 230 × 44 mm: 1U high, 23 cm deep. This compact size means it fits in a wall-mounted cabinet, where a 24-port PoE switch often calls for a full rack.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
