How long does the Easy UPS 3S 20 kVA run on battery?
About 15 minutes at full load, i.e. 20 kW, with the internal batteries. This is the runtime stated at maximum load: at partial load it is longer, and the unit accepts an additional battery string to extend it further.
Does the Easy UPS 3S 20 kVA require a three-phase supply?
Yes: input and output are both three-phase, at 400 V — also 380 or 415 V — on a 3-phase + neutral + earth terminal block. Input current reaches 37 A per phase: the feeder circuit at the distribution board and the cable cross-section must be sized accordingly.
What makes this UPS suitable for a harsh room?
A dust filter — included — and coated electronic boards protected by a conformal varnish. Both are explicitly aimed at environments where dust, humidity or corrosive fumes destroy the boards of an ordinary UPS.
What input voltage range does the UPS tolerate?
304 to 477 V, at a frequency of 45 to 65 Hz. That is a very wide window around the nominal 400 V three-phase: the mains voltage can drop sharply without the UPS switching to its batteries.
What is the power quality at the input and at the output?
Harmonic distortion stays below 3% on both sides — so the UPS does not pollute the upstream grid — and the output voltage is held within ±1.5%. The input power factor reaches 0.99.
Why does this 20 kVA unit really deliver 20 kW?
Because its output power factor is 1: all of the apparent power is available in watts. The UPS also accepts loads with a power factor from 0.9 leading to 0.9 lagging, which covers servers and motors alike.
How much space and weight should you plan for in the electrical room?

How much heat and noise does the UPS produce?
900 W of heat dissipation and a noise level of 60 dBA. These two values call for a dedicated, ventilated electrical room: the 900 W go straight into the calculation of the room's air conditioning.
How do you monitor the Easy UPS 3S remotely?
The unit has a USB port for basic management; network monitoring requires an optional management card, ordered separately. A slot is provided to accommodate it.
Which batteries does this UPS use, and can more be added?
Internal 240 V VRLA batteries, with two pre-installed strings and one free slot for a third. Adding this string is the intended way to extend the runtime beyond the stated quarter of an hour.
Under what conditions can the Easy UPS 3S operate?
Between 0 and 40 °C and up to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing, with an IP20 rating. The maximum short-circuit current withstand is 10 kA, a value to compare with that of the distribution board feeding it.
Is the Easy UPS 3S E3SUPS20KHB1 new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 12 months. The unit is CE, EAC and RCM certified; the datasheet lists all the electrical and environmental values.
