740 W, enough for every port
All 48 ports deliver PoE and PoE+ (802.3af/at). The 740 W budget is enough to power all 48 ports at once in standard PoE, at 15.4 W each; at full PoE+ power, 30 W per port, it covers 24 devices. Ports 1 to 8 go up to PoE++ (802.3bt) for the most power-hungry devices.
A PoE++ (802.3bt) device goes on ports 1 to 8: ports 9 to 48 stop at PoE+.
Built for a fleet of cameras
The switch recognises the IP cameras connected to its ports and reports cabling loops. Its PoE watchdog restarts a device that stops responding by cutting and restoring its power, with no trip up to the ceiling. Each port is protected against surges up to 6 kV.
Layer 3: routing between VLANs
IPv4 and IPv6 static routing (500 routes), OSPFv2, OSPFv3 and DHCP server: the switch routes between a building's VLANs itself, cameras on one side, telephony and guests on the other, instead of sending everything back to the Internet router. The 4 SFP+ 10G ports connect another floor or the network core. Switching capacity: 176 Gbit/s, 132 Mpps.
Managed without travelling
Ruijie Cloud, the Reyee app, the web interface or SNMP: configuration and monitoring are done remotely. A Reyee router in controller mode, such as the RG-EG710XS, brings the site's switches and access points together in the same dashboard.
Its place: in a rack, in the server room
The metal chassis mounts in a 19-inch rack and takes one unit, 43.6 mm high. Three fans blow from the side to the rear; at 60 dB measured at 25 °C, it belongs in a closed rack rather than in an office.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How much PoE power does the Reyee RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP deliver?
A 740 W budget shared across its 48 PoE/PoE+ ports (802.3af/at). Ports 1 to 8 switch to PoE++ (802.3bt) for Wi-Fi access points and cameras that need more power. At full load, the switch draws up to 815.6 W in total: allow for this when sizing the rack UPS.
What does “Layer 3” mean for this switch?
It routes between VLANs itself, with no separate router: IPv4 and IPv6 static routes (up to 500), OSPFv2 and OSPFv3, DHCP server, relay and client. Cameras, guests and workstations can therefore live in separate VLANs and communicate according to the rules set on the switch.
What are the 4 SFP+ ports of the RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP for?
They are 10 Gbps uplinks, to connect this switch to the network core, another floor, a recorder or a server. With 48 access ports, these four links keep camera traffic from saturating the switch's output. SFP+ modules are not included in the box.
Is the RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP noisy?
It is cooled by 3 fans, with side-to-rear airflow, and measures 60 dB at 25 °C. It is equipment for a rack or a technical room, not an open-plan office. It operates from 0 to 50 °C and from 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity.
Is this switch suitable for video surveillance?
Yes, it recognises the IP cameras connected to it and monitors their PoE power: a device that stops responding can be restarted by cutting and then restoring its power. IGMP snooping channels multicast streams and port isolation prevents cameras from communicating with each other.
How is the RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP managed?
Free of charge on Ruijie Cloud and the Ruijie Reyee app, remotely, or locally through the eWeb web interface over HTTP or HTTPS. It also responds to SNMP v1, v2c and v3 and sends its logs via Syslog to a monitoring server, with alerts in the event of a loop or PoE overload.
Can the RG-NBS5200-48GT4XS-UP be rack-mounted?
Yes, it fits into a 19-inch rack with the 2 brackets and 8 screws supplied: 440 x 357.6 x 43.6 mm for 5.64 kg. The box also contains the 1.5 m power cord and its retention clip, a 1 m grounding cable and 4 pads for desktop installation.
