Noise level 55 dB: to be installed in a technical room
High-power online UPS for server rooms: online double-conversion, 5000 VA / 5000 W. Technology & protection: power is continuously rebuilt — your equipment receives perfect power without ever touching the mains, with zero transfer time. Maximum protection against power cuts, surges, voltage fluctuations and electrical noise. Power: 5000 VA for 5000 W of usable power (power factor of 1) — enough to run several servers and network equipment, for example. Runtime: approx. 10 minutes at half load (2500 W). Outlets: 2 C13 outlets + 1 heavy-duty C19 outlet for power-hungry equipment. Like every online model, it uses active cooling: install it in a technical room. LCD display: shows load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — monitor the UPS without any software. Designed, for example, for server racks and critical infrastructure. Remember to check how much power your equipment draws and to choose the capacity according to the runtime you need.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How long does the SRTG5KXLI last on battery?
10 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 2500 W, 6 minutes at 70% and 3 minutes 30 seconds at full load. Three reference points for three different situations: the one that matches your actual load is the one to go by.
Does this 5 kVA really deliver 5000 W?
Yes, its power factor is 1: the 5000 VA are fully available in watts. On a UPS with a 0.8 power factor, only 4000 would remain for the same rated power — it is the figure in watts that determines what you can connect.
What outputs does the SRTG5KXLI offer?
Three types at once: two C13 outlets, one heavy-duty C19 outlet, and a 3-wire terminal block output for fixed wiring installed by an electrician. The input, for its part, is via a 3-wire terminal block only.
Can the runtime of the SRTG5KXLI be extended?
Yes, with additional battery packs, part number SRTG192XLBP4, on top of the two batteries already installed. A full recharge takes 4 hours.
How much space does the SRTG5KXLI take up in a rack?
17.78 cm high, 44 cm wide and 62 cm deep, for 51.9 kg, with a rack-mount kit. At this weight, mounting it in the rack takes several people and the unit goes at the bottom of the cabinet.
What input voltage does the UPS accept?
160 to 285 V, with an adjustable setting of up to 100-280 V. Frequency is accepted from 40 to 70 Hz: this wide range lets it cope with a severely degraded grid without drawing on the batteries.
Can work be done on the UPS without shutting down the servers?
Yes, thanks to the automatic and manual internal bypass: the automatic bypass takes over on a fault, while the manual one allows a deliberate transfer to direct mains power. Conversely, an emergency power-off button lets you cut everything in one move.
How do you know the UPS is overloaded or on battery?
Through a multifunction LCD console and an online/on-battery status indicator, backed by three distinct audible alarms: switch to battery mode, low battery threshold and a continuous tone in the event of overload.
What is in the box, and how do you manage the UPS?
A USB cable, an RS-232 cable and the user manual: both communication links are therefore supplied, and automatic server shutdown is possible from commissioning.
Is the APC Smart-UPS RT SRTG5KXLI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 3 years. It delivers a sine wave and is rated at 55 dBA: it is a fan-cooled unit, to be installed in a technical room. The datasheet details the rest.
