Product overview

An online UPS to protect a server or sensitive equipment: online double-conversion technology, 1000 VA / 800 W.
Technology & protection: power is fully and continuously regenerated — your devices are never connected directly to the mains, with no transfer time whatsoever. Complete protection against outages, surges, voltage fluctuations and electrical noise.
Power: 1000 VA for 800 W of real power — for a small server, a NAS or network equipment, for example.
Runtime: about 10 minutes at half load (400 W), 6 minutes at 70%.
Outlets: 3 C13 outlets (computer and server power cords).
Like every online model, it uses active cooling: best installed in a technical room.
LCD display: shows load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — so you can monitor the UPS without any software.
Ideal, for example, for a small server, a NAS or network equipment.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the SRV1KI run on battery?
10 minutes at half load, i.e. 400 W, and 6 minutes at 70%, i.e. 560 W. A full recharge then takes 4 hours, on a preinstalled sealed lead-acid battery.
Are all three outlets on the SRV1KI battery-backed?
Yes, all three C13 outlets are powered by the battery: none is reserved for surge protection only. Input is through a C14 inlet, with a 1.50 m cord included.
Can an online UPS fit in a small room?
This one, yes: just 9.3 kg, in a compact tower case that slides under a desk. It is nonetheless rated at 50 dBA — double conversion requires active cooling, so it should not be installed right next to a workstation.
What does double conversion bring on a 1000 VA unit?
The power is continuously regenerated: a sine wave output, synchronised at 50/60 Hz ± 3 Hz, with an accepted input of 160 to 280 V — and up to 110-285 V at half load. Your equipment never sees the actual shape of the mains supply.
How much power can the SRV1KI handle?
800 W for the stated 1000 VA. It is this wattage that must be compared with the combined consumption of your server, NAS or switch — never the VA figure in the product name.
Can the UPS be serviced without powering down the equipment?
Yes, an automatic and manual internal bypass keeps power flowing: the automatic one in the event of a fault, the manual one for a deliberate transfer to direct mains power.
How can the SRV1KI shut down a server automatically?
Through the USB port or the DB-9 RS-232 serial port: both cables are included, along with the software CD and the manual. A free slot lets you add a network management card.
How can I tell whether the UPS is overloaded or running on battery?
Through a multifunction LCD console on the front panel, backed by three distinct audible alarms: switch to battery mode, low-battery threshold, and a continuous tone in the event of overload.
Is the APC Easy UPS SRV1KI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 2 years. It accepts an input frequency of 40 to 70 Hz, which allows it to run behind an unstable source. The datasheet covers the rest.
