Only 4 of the 8 Gigabit ports are PoE+ (total budget 62 W, up to 30 W each); the 2 SFP slots keep fibre for the uplinks. Switching capacity 20 Gbps, driven from the Omada SDN cloud.
4 of the 8 Gigabit ports are 802.3af/at PoE+, up to 30 W each

Frequently asked questions about this product
How many ports on the TL-SG2210P are PoE-powered?
Four out of eight. These four ports deliver up to 30 W each under the 802.3af and 802.3at standards, within a total budget of 62 W: two motorised cameras at 30 W already use it up. The two SFP slots remain reserved for the fibre uplink.
Can this switch route between VLANs?
Yes, with static routing: up to 32 IPv4 or IPv6 routes, on 16 IP interfaces. It also has a built-in DHCP server, DHCP relay per interface, per VLAN and at Layer 2, as well as static ARP and proxy ARP.
What Layer 2 features does this switch offer?
IGMP and MLD snooping, 802.1Q tag-based, MAC-based or protocol-based VLANs, STP, RSTP and MSTP, link aggregation, port isolation, port mirroring and 802.3x flow control. IGMP filtering also restricts access to multicast.
How do you protect network outlets from an unknown computer?
With 802.1X and a RADIUS server, complemented by IP-MAC-Port binding, port security, access control lists, defence against denial-of-service attacks, storm control and DHCP snooping.
Do you need an Omada controller to run this switch?
No, the web interface is enough. The Omada controller — OC200 or OC300 hardware, software or cloud version — adds automatic discovery, batch configuration and updates, monitoring and scheduled reboots. Zero-touch provisioning requires the cloud controller.
Is voice given priority on this switch?
Yes: quality of service works by port, by 802.1p tag or by DSCP marking, across Layers 2 to 4, and a voice VLAN isolates telephony. The manufacturer explicitly aims for voice and video that are “clear, smooth and jitter-free”.
Is this switch silent, and where should it be installed?
Fanless, and therefore completely silent: the compact casing sits on a desk or mounts on a wall, which suits a reception area, a meeting room or hotel premises. The MAC address table holds 8,000 entries.
Is this switch IPv6-ready?
Yes: management, access control lists, quality of service and MLD snooping all work over IPv6. Migration therefore happens without replacing the switch, which matters for equipment meant to last ten years.
What internal performance does this 10-port model offer?
20 Gbps of switching capacity and 14.88 Mpps, i.e. line rate on the 8 Gigabit ports and the 2 SFP slots. That is the sizing you would expect from an access switch for a small office or a reception area.
Is the switch new, and where can you find its datasheet?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The manufacturer's document covers the JetStream Smart range, its L2 and L2+ features and the specifications of each model: datasheet (PDF).
