Frequently asked questions about this product
Are batteries supplied with the E3MUPS60KHBS?
No: the UPS is supplied without batteries, precisely so that you can build the runtime you need. It is designed for internal batteries, to be chosen according to the number of minutes required.
How is the E3MUPS60KHBS connected to the electrical installation?
Through fixed wiring to a 5-wire terminal block — three phases, neutral and earth — at 400 V three-phase, with 380 and 415 V also accepted. It is an electrician's installation, to be prepared before commissioning.
How much current does the E3MUPS60KHBS draw per phase?
104 A maximum per phase, with a short-circuit withstand of 10 kA. These are the two figures to give the electrician to size the upstream protection and the cable cross-section.
How does the E3MUPS60KHBS handle an overload?
10 minutes at 125% of its power and 60 seconds at 150%. This reserve absorbs the inrush current when a rack starts up without transferring the installation to bypass.
Does power still flow if the E3MUPS60KHBS is shut down?
Yes, a built-in static bypass transfers the load to the mains without interruption — during a prolonged overload as well as for servicing. That is what allows the UPS to be maintained without shutting down the room.
How is the E3MUPS60KHBS monitored remotely?
It is EcoStruxure-compatible: monitoring and management are carried out remotely from the cloud, in addition to the touchscreen on the front panel, which shows the status of the installation at a glance.
What kind of room does the E3MUPS60KHBS need?
A ventilated technical room: it dissipates 10,523 BTU/h and its noise level reaches 65 dBA. The cabinet measures 197 cm high, 60 wide and 100 deep and weighs 311 kg — access and floor must be checked.
Does the E3MUPS60KHBS disturb the upstream grid?
Very little: its input power factor reaches 0.99 and harmonic distortion stays below 3% at full load. It also accepts a mains frequency of 40 to 70 Hz and a voltage of 342 to 477 V.
Is the APC Easy UPS 3M E3MUPS60KHBS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, with a start-up service included. A dust filter and the installation guide are also supplied. The datasheet covers the rest.
