PoE: the first 8 ports deliver up to 60 W (PoE++) for the most demanding devices and the next 16 up to 30 W (PoE+) — 360 W total budget for cameras, Wi-Fi access points and IP phones. The 4 × 10 Gbit/s SFP+ ports handle ultra-fast uplinks.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which of the GWN7813P's ports deliver 60 W?
The first eight, with PoE++ (802.3bt) at up to 60 W each; the next sixteen top out at 30 W with PoE+. Keep the first eight ports for power-hungry devices: heated PTZ cameras, Wi-Fi 6E access points, displays powered over the network.
Is the 360 W budget enough for all 24 ports?
No, it is a shared budget: 360 W to be split. Six devices at 60 W use it up completely. The calculation is based on the actual total of the devices, never on the number of ports multiplied by their maximum power.
Does this switch support dynamic routing?
Yes: static and dynamic routing with RIP, RIPng, OSPF and OSPFv3, over both IPv4 and IPv6. Traffic between VLANs stays inside the switch instead of going up to the site router.
What happens if the switch's power supply fails?
An external 54 V, 300 W redundant power supply is available as an option: it takes over and keeps the network and PoE devices running. It is the point to plan for on a critical installation.
How many links can be aggregated towards the network core?
Fourteen aggregation groups, to be split between the copper ports and the four 10 Gbps SFP+ slots. Switching capacity reaches 128 Gbps at 95.232 Mpps, with a 16,000-entry MAC address table.
How do you restrict network access from an outlet?
With 802.1X authentication backed by a RADIUS or TACACS+ server: an unknown computer stays off the network until it is approved. 802.1Q VLANs, up to 4,000 of them, then partition what each group can reach.
Does this switch's controller cost extra?
No: the controller is built in, at no additional cost. Management is through GWN.Cloud, GWN Manager — the platform installed on your own server — or the local web interface, as you prefer.
Where can this switch be installed?
In a 1U rack, on a wall or on a desk: all three mounting options are supported and the kits are included. STP, RSTP and MSTP spanning tree protects the network from loops wherever it is installed.
Is the switch new, and where can I find its datasheet?
