Built-in bypass: power still flows even if the UPS develops a fault
Hot-swappable batteries from the front panel
Runtime extendable with external battery cabinets, detected automatically
USB port and RS-232 serial port for automatic server shutdown
Slot for an SNMP network card, remote monitoring
Intelligent Power software included, compatible with VMware and Hyper-V
Multilingual graphic LCD display, rotatable for rack or tower
A high-end, high-power online UPS for server rooms: online double conversion, 11 kVA / 10 kW, 6U rack format. Technology & protection: power is fully and continuously regenerated — the equipment is never exposed to the mains, with zero transfer time. Maximum protection against outages, surges, voltage fluctuations and electrical noise. Power: 11 kVA for 10 kW of real power (0.9 power factor) — almost all of the rated power is available in watts. Runtime can be extended with external battery cabinets. Ports: terminal block connection (hard-wired by an electrician); USB and serial ports and slot for an SNMP network card. Pure sine wave output; active cooling (≈ 50 dB), to be installed in a rack or technical room. LCD display: shows load, battery level and remaining runtime — so you can monitor the UPS without any software. Designed, for example, for server racks, network equipment or industrial applications. Remember to check how much power your equipment draws and to choose the rating according to the runtime you need.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How long does the 9SX 11000i run on battery?
About 9 minutes at 50% load and 5 minutes at 70%. Runtime can be extended with external battery cabinets, which the UPS detects automatically as soon as they are connected.
How is the 9SX 11000i connected to the electrical installation?
Via a terminal block on both input and output: the unit has no outlets at all. It is fixed wiring, to be done by an electrician, with a dedicated circuit sized for 11 kVA.
Does this 11 kVA UPS deliver 10 kW of usable power?
Yes, thanks to a power factor of 0.9: 11,000 × 0.9 = 10,000 W. It is this wattage figure that you need to compare with the combined consumption of your server racks.
Does power still get through if the UPS fails?
Yes, a built-in bypass lets mains power through to the equipment. The batteries can also be hot-swapped from the front panel, without interrupting the servers.
What efficiency does the 9SX 11000i achieve?
Up to 95%, and 98% in high-efficiency mode. At this power level, every percentage point gained translates directly into fewer watts of heat in the technical room.
How do you cleanly shut down virtualised servers with the 9SX 11000i?
The Intelligent Power software is included and supports VMware and Hyper-V. It communicates via the USB port or the RS-232 port — which cannot be used simultaneously —, complemented by four dry contacts and a remote on/off control.
Is the network management card included?
No: it is only supplied as standard on the Netpack versions. On this model, the slot is free and accepts a Network-MS (SNMP), ModBus-MS or Relay-MS card, to be ordered separately.
Can the 9SX 11000i be installed in a rack or as a tower?
Both: it has a convertible chassis, with a multilingual graphic LCD screen that can be rotated to suit the chosen position. Allow for 86 kg: it takes several people to handle, and the unit goes at the bottom of the cabinet.
Is the Eaton 9SX 11000i (9SX11KIRT) new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for 2 years. It delivers a sine wave, accepts an input frequency of 40 to 70 Hz and stays below 50 dBA. The datasheet covers the rest.
