A high-end, high-power online UPS for server rooms: online double conversion, 6 kVA / 5400 W. Technology & protection: power is fully and continuously regenerated — the equipment is never exposed to the mains, with zero transfer time. Maximum protection against outages, surges, voltage fluctuations and electrical noise. Power: 6 kVA for 5400 W of real power (0.9 power factor) — almost all of the rated power is available in watts. Runtime can be extended with external battery cabinets. Ports: 4 heavy-duty C19 outlets + terminal block; three-phase input connection. USB port, serial port and slot for an SNMP network card. Active cooling (≈ 48 dB), to be installed in a technical room. LCD display: shows load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — so you can monitor the UPS without any software. Designed, for example, for server racks, network equipment or industrial applications. Remember to check how much power your equipment draws and to choose the rating according to the runtime you need.

Frequently asked questions about this product
Does the 9PX 6000i require a three-phase supply?
Yes: the input is three-phase at 380, 400 or 415 V, on a terminal block, while the output remains single-phase. The accepted range extends from 305 to 480 V. The three-phase circuit at the distribution board is therefore the first point to confirm with an electrician.
How long does the 9PX 6000i run on battery?
30 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 2700 W, and 20 minutes at 70%. That is exceptionally long for this power rating: enough to ride out an entire outage without stopping production, rather than simply shutting down cleanly.
Is the maintenance bypass supplied with the 9PX 6000i?
Yes, an external maintenance bypass is supplied with the unit. It lets you remove the UPS for servicing or replacement without cutting power to the protected equipment — that is what the HotSwap suffix in the model designation refers to.
Can two 9PX 6000i units be run in parallel?
Yes: a DB15 connector is provided for paralleling two UPSs, which lets you either double the available power or build in redundancy. Few UPSs in this range allow it.
What outputs does the 9PX 6000i offer?
Four heavy-duty 16 A C19 outlets, plus a terminal block output for fixed wiring. C19 is the format for high-current equipment: high-power servers, storage arrays, blade chassis.
Does this 6 kVA UPS deliver 5400 W of usable power?
Yes, thanks to its power factor of 0.9: 6000 × 0.9 = 5400 W. The 9PX also has input power factor correction, which limits the harmonics sent back into the upstream three-phase supply.
What weight and space should you plan for?
88 kg for an assembly measuring 440 × 260 × 700 mm: this model combines a power module, a battery module and the maintenance bypass. Plan the handling accordingly, and a floor that can bear this load.
Can runtime be extended beyond 30 minutes?
Yes, with external battery cabinets that the UPS detects automatically — the supplied battery cable in fact includes the communication link needed for this detection.
How do you monitor the 9PX 6000i and shut down the servers?
Via a USB port or an RS-232 port — not simultaneously —, four dry contacts on DB9, a mini terminal block for remote control and an emergency power off. A slot accepts a Network-MS, ModBus-MS or Relay-MS network card, not included except on Netpack versions.
Is the Eaton 9PX 6000i (9PX6KIBP31) new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for 2 years. It delivers a sine wave output, stays below 48 dB and manages its batteries with ABM technology, which only recharges them when necessary. The datasheet covers the rest.
