A high-end online UPS, convertible between rack and tower: online double conversion, 2200 VA / 2200 W, 2U format. Technology & protection: power is fully and continuously regenerated — your servers are never exposed to the mains, with zero transfer time. Complete protection against outages, surges, voltage fluctuations and electrical noise. Power: 2200 VA for 2200 W of real power — its power factor of 1 makes all of the rated power available in watts. Runtime: about 15 minutes at half load (1100 W); extendable with additional battery modules. Outlets: 8 C13 outlets + 2 heavy-duty C19 outlets for power-hungry equipment. Management: USB port and RS-232 serial port for automatic shutdown; slot for an SNMP network card. Graphical LCD display to monitor the UPS. Low-noise operation (under 40 dB). Ideal, for example, for servers, storage or network equipment. Remember to check how much power your equipment draws and to choose the rating according to the runtime you need.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How long does the 9PX 2200 run on battery?
15 minutes at half load, i.e. 1100 W. That is comfortable for a 2200 VA unit, and runtime can be extended with additional hot-swappable battery modules.
Does this 2200 VA UPS really deliver 2200 W?
Yes: the power factor is 1, so the full 2200 VA is available in watts. On a line-interactive UPS with a 0.6 power factor, only 1320 would remain — almost 900 W less equipment.
Can a 2200 VA online UPS stay in an office?
This one, yes: it is rated at less than 40 dBA, which is very low for a double-conversion unit of this power. That is what allows it to sit in an occupied room rather than in a technical room.
How does the 9PX 2200 plug into the mains?
Into a 16 A C20 connection, with the input cable supplied. Note: this is the heavy-duty format, not the C14 of a desktop UPS — the wall socket must be able to deliver the corresponding current.
What are the controllable outlet groups on the 9PX 2200 for?
To cut non-essential loads first: two groups can be controlled separately, so you can reserve the battery for critical machines during an outage. That is extra runtime with no additional hardware.
What outlets does the 9PX 2200 have?
Eight C13 outlets and two heavy-duty 16 A C19 outlets. Two IEC output cords are supplied: beyond two machines, you will need your own cords.
Can the 9PX 2200 be installed in a rack or as a tower?
Both, and everything is supplied: two 19-inch mounting brackets, two universal rails and two tower stands. Allow for 2U, 440 mm wide, 605 mm deep and 25 kg.
Does power still get through if the UPS fails?
Yes, an internal bypass lets mains power through to the equipment. The UPS also accepts an input of 176 to 276 V between 40 and 70 Hz before drawing on its battery.
Is the Eaton 9PX 2200 (9PX2200IRT2U) new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. It delivers a sine wave output, shows its status on a multilingual graphic LCD screen, and has a slot for a Network-MS, ModBus-MS or Relay-MS card. The datasheet covers the rest.
Twenty minutes of runtime at half load (2 400 W), extended to several hours with up to four external battery cabinets. The standard maintenance bypass allows the unit to be swapped without shutting down the equipment.
