What PoE budget does the TL-SG3452XP offer across its 48 ports?
500 W in total, with every port supporting PoE+ at up to 30 W. That is a high budget for this port density: some forty 12 W cameras fit within it, where a 370 W model would already force you to make trade-offs.
What do this model's 4 SFP+ slots provide?
10 Gbps uplinks: 48 access ports are not choked by a Gigabit uplink. Switching capacity reaches 176 Gbps at 130.9 Mpps, with a 16,000-entry MAC address table.
Is there console access on this switch?
Yes, two ports: an RJ-45 console port and a micro-USB port, in addition to the web interface, CLI, SNMP and cloud management. It is the way back in when the switch no longer responds on its IP address.
How do you protect 48 network outlets from an unknown computer?
With 802.1X authentication and IP-MAC-Port binding, backed up by access control lists and VLANs. An unauthenticated computer stays off the network, and one machine cannot spoof the address of another.
Does this chassis have fans, and how much space does it take up?
Three fans cool it: it belongs in a rack or a technical room. The unit measures 440 × 330 × 44 mm — 1U, but 33 cm deep, so check your rack before ordering. It operates from 0 to 40 °C.
Does this switch support jumbo frames?
Yes, up to 9,216 bytes, useful for backups and large copies to a server. The switch is L2+, which also lets it perform static routing between its VLANs.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
