How many of the TL-SG1016PE's ports supply PoE+?
Eight out of sixteen, at up to 30 W each, within a total budget of 150 W. The other eight Gigabit ports carry data only: plan where cameras and access points go accordingly when patching.
How many VLANs can you create on this switch?
Up to 4,000, tag-based or port-based, configured from the web interface. That is what “L2 managed” means: enough to isolate cameras, workstations and guests without the complexity of a fully managed switch.
How much electrical power does this switch draw?
124.4 W at most, the 150 W PoE budget only being reached with the devices connected. The power supply is built in and accepts 100 to 240 V: a mains power cable is all you need, supplied with the rack-mount kit.
Which operating tools does this switch offer?
Port mirroring to analyse traffic, link aggregation, broadcast storm control, quality of service with four queues and IGMP filtering for multicast — all from the web interface.
What internal performance does this 16-port model offer?
32 Gbps of switching capacity and 23.8 Mpps, with an 8,000-entry MAC address table, 4.1 MB of buffer and jumbo frames up to 10,000 bytes. Cabling from category 3 to 6 is supported.
