500 W in total across 24 ports: 8 PoE++ 802.3bt ports at up to 60 W and 16 PoE+ 802.3at ports at 30 W. The eight most powerful ports are best reserved for recent Wi-Fi access points and power-hungry devices.
Do all 24 ports on this switch run at 2.5 Gbps?
Yes, all 24 RJ45 ports reach 2.5 Gbps. This is what lets Wi-Fi 6, 6E or 7 access points perform to their full potential: a Gigabit port would hold them back, whereas the existing cabling is sufficient for 2.5 Gbps.
What are the 4 SFP+ slots used for?
For 10 Gbps links between switches or to servers. With 24 access ports at 2.5 Gbps, a Gigabit uplink would be saturated from the outset: these four optical links carry the traffic to the network core.
How can I access the switch if the network is down?
Through the two console ports, one RJ45 and the other Micro-USB. A laptop connected to the front panel lets you regain control of the switch even when no network link responds any more.
Does this switch support routing?
Yes, static routing, on Layer 2+ management. That is enough to let several internal VLANs communicate without going up to the router, while keeping the simplicity of an access switch.
Can this switch be managed from the cloud?
Yes, through the Omada SDN platform, which centralises the configuration of all your devices and enables zero-touch provisioning: a new switch plugged in on site retrieves its configuration by itself.
