The Aruba CX 6200F 24-port PoE+ 4SFP+ is an L2/L3 managed switch from the CX family, designed for enterprise access networks that combine PoE+ power with 10 Gigabit fibre uplinks.
24 Gigabit RJ45 Class 4 PoE ports: each port delivers up to 30 W (IEEE 802.3af/at) to power Wi-Fi 6 access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones straight from the switch, with no external power adapter.
4 × 1/10 GbE SFP+ ports to connect the switch to the distribution layer or the network core over fibre.
Managed through the Aruba Central cloud platform: centralised monitoring, ACLs, QoS and automated network policies. Stackable via VSF for unified management of several switches.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How much PoE power does this switch deliver per port?
Up to 30 W per port, in Class 4 (802.3af/at), on all 24 access ports. That is the level expected to power Wi-Fi access points, cameras and IP phones over the network cable, with no power outlet needed at each point.
What speed do this model's uplinks reach?
Four 1/10 GbE SFP+ slots: the uplink to the network core runs at 10 Gbps over fibre, or at Gigabit with a 1G module. The same ports are also used to build a switch stack.
Can several CX 6200F switches be stacked?
Yes, with VSF stacking: several switches are then managed as a single device, which cuts configuration and monitoring work accordingly across an entire building.
Can this switch route between VLANs?
Yes: it is specified as managed at Layers 2 and 3, within the Aruba CX range. Traffic between segments then stays inside the switch rather than going up to the site router.
How is this switch managed day to day?
From the Aruba Central cloud, which centralises access control lists, quality of service and automated policies. A fleet spread across several sites can thus be monitored from a single console.
Does this chassis have fans, and where should it be installed?
Yes, fans and power supply are built in, in a 1U rack-mountable form factor: it belongs in a rack or a technical room. With 24 PoE ports, passive cooling is not an option.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
