Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Echo Pro 3000 have a terminal block output in addition to its outlets?
Yes, and that is what sets it apart: in addition to its four Schuko outlets, it offers a terminal block output for connecting a fixed circuit, installed by an electrician. You can therefore power both plug-in equipment and a dedicated line.
How long does the Echo Pro 3000 last on battery?
7 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 1200 W, and 18 minutes at 25%. On a 2400 W load, runtime is therefore counted in minutes: it is there to switch over to another source or to shut down cleanly, not to keep working through the outage.
What input voltage does the Echo Pro 3000 accept?
From 80 to 300 V. This very wide window lets it keep regenerating the power on a grid that regularly drops out, instead of switching to battery at every dip and draining it.
Why does 3000 VA give only 2400 W?
The power factor is 0.8: 3000 × 0.8 = 2400 W actually available — well above the 0.6 of an entry-level UPS, which would offer only 1800 for the same rated power.
Can the Echo Pro 3000 shut down a Synology NAS on its own?
Yes, Synology NAS compatibility is stated: connected via USB HID, the NAS detects the outage and unmounts its volumes before the battery runs out. The PowerGuide and PowerMaster software cover other systems.
Can a 3000 VA online UPS stay in an office?
This one, yes: it is rated at less than 40 dB, which is very low for a double-conversion unit of this power. On the other hand, allow for 416 × 196 × 342 mm and 21.3 kg: it stands on the floor, not on a piece of furniture.
How much surge energy does the Echo Pro 3000 absorb?
565 joules on its mains input. In double conversion, the power is continuously rebuilt anyway: this protection deals with the spikes that arrive before the conversion stage.
Can the Echo Pro 3000 be used with a generator?
Yes, generator compatibility is stated. Combined with the 80 to 300 V input range, this makes it a sensible choice where the grid often cuts out and a generator takes over.
What efficiency, and with how many batteries?
Up to 96% in ECO mode, with six internal GP07122L batteries. The UPS restarts and recharges automatically when power returns, with no intervention.
Can two Echo Pro 3000 units be combined to double the power?
No, parallel operation is not supported on this model. For more power, you need to move up the range; the terminal block output, on the other hand, lets you power a dedicated line in addition to the four outlets.
Is the nJoy Echo Pro 3000 UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for 3 years. It delivers a pure sine wave, shows its status on an LCD screen, and has RS-232, SNMP and EPO ports. The datasheet covers the rest.
