This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What is the difference between the 6 PoE+ ports and the 2 PoE++ ports?
The power available: the PoE++ ports follow the 802.3bt standard and power the most demanding devices, while the other six remain PoE+. The total budget is 120 W, to be shared across the eight ports.
Can this compact switch route between VLANs?
Yes, it is a Layer 3 model: inter-VLAN routing and a DHCP server for local networks, with up to 1,000 VLANs and 16,000 MAC addresses. Enough to turn a desktop unit into the head of a small segmented network.
What are the two SFP+ ports on this model for?
They are the 10G or 1G uplinks to the network core or a fast server: eight access ports do not bottleneck on a single output. Switching capacity reaches 56 Gbps.
How can you check the switch's status without a computer?
With the 1.3-inch touchscreen built into the front, which displays the device's status. Configuration, however, goes through the UniFi Network app — plan for this before installation.
How much space does this switch take up, and where should it be installed?
200 × 248 × 44 mm: a desktop format, to be placed in a small room or storeroom. The manufacturer explicitly targets office or home environments, with the features of an enterprise switch.
What Layer 2 protections does this switch apply?
MAC-based access lists with device isolation, MAC address blocking, MAC address restriction, voice VLAN and LACP link aggregation. The MAC lists accept 128 rules.
Is the switch new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. This is the Ubiquiti UniFi Pro 8 PoE, a compact Layer 3 switch combining PoE++, 10 Gigabit uplinks and a monitoring screen.
