Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Ubiquiti Switch Pro 24 route between VLANs?
Yes, it is a Layer 3 switch: inter-VLAN routing, static routing and a built-in DHCP server. Traffic between internal segments stays within the switch, without going up to the internet access router.
How many VLANs does this switch support?
Up to 1,000 VLANs, with a 16,000-entry MAC address table. That is well beyond the needs of a single site: you can segment by department, floor or device type without counting.
Is this 24-port switch quiet?
Yes: it is fanless. That is rare on a 1U 24-port switch, and it means it can be installed in a shared room, a closed office or a meeting room without any noise nuisance.
What performance does the Switch Pro 24 offer?
88 Gbps switching capacity, including 44 Gbps non-blocking, and 65 Mpps, with 2 MB of buffer memory. The two 10 Gbps SFP+ uplinks absorb the traffic from the 24 Gigabit ports without bottlenecks.
What security protections does this switch apply?
802.1X authentication, MAC- or IP-based access control lists and traffic storm control, with DSCP quality of service, LACP aggregation and IGMP snooping for multicast.
How is this switch managed day to day?
Through UniFi Network, via the web or mobile interface, with a 1.3-inch touchscreen on the front for viewing and changing basic settings directly on the device.
Does this switch power devices over PoE?
No, none of its ports supplies power. It is a core network switch, powered internally by a 36 W AC/DC unit, with the option of DC power redundancy.
In what conditions can this switch operate?
From -5 to 45 °C, in an SGCC steel casing protected against electrostatic discharge — up to 16 kV air and 12 kV contact. It can therefore cope with a poorly air-conditioned equipment room.
How much rack space does the Switch Pro 24 take up?
442 × 285 × 44 mm and 3.5 kg: 1U high, 28.5 cm deep, in a 19-inch rack. CE, FCC, IC and Anatel certified.
